Free Jewelry Cleaning & Inspection

Learn more about our what we do to keep your jewelry looking its very best!

Pre-Cleaning Inspection

Before we begin any cleaning, your jewelry will be inspected for any potential issues.  Common things that we look for are stones that are loose, broken, or missing altogether, prongs or channels that are worn or broken, and also ring shanks (the round part that goes around your finger) that are thinning or broken.  Though it's determined on a case-by-case basis, we generally do not clean jewelry if it is need of repair.  If it passes our initial inspection, we'll give you a cleaning token with a number on it.  You'll keep this token until you're ready to pick up your jewelry.

Ultrasonic Cleaning & Steaming

This is the part that does the heavy lifting!  An ultrasonic is a tank filled with a solution that is part water and part special detergent that heats up and vibrates at a very high frequency so that dirt, lotion, and more is loosened up and falls out of the jewelry.  This process is harmful to some types of jewelry (like pearls), so these items that are susceptible will not go through this step.  Ultrasonic cleaning can take as little as 5-10 minutes or as long as several hours to completely clean away all debris, depending on how much cleaning is required, however most jewelry cleaning typically takes about 30-40 minutes.  Once done cleaning in the ultrasonic, the jewelry is then dried with a blast of steam.

Post-Cleaning Inspection

When you are ready to claim your jewelry, simply present your cleaning token at the customer service counter (or drive-thru).  We will then remove your jewelry from the ultrasonic, rinse it, and steam it to dry it.  At this point, we will perform another inspection to check for any issues that may have been obscured by debris prior to the cleaning.
